At AKH Homes, we aim to make your renting experience simple and stress-free. Here’s what you need to know when starting your tenancy with us:

Holding Deposit

To reserve your chosen property, we require a refundable holding deposit of £150.00. Once your tenancy is confirmed, this amount will be applied toward your total deposit.

Security Deposit

A security deposit of £400.00 is required before moving into the property. This deposit is safeguarded by the Tenancy Deposit Scheme for the duration of your tenancy. It is fully refundable at the end of your agreement, provided there are no outstanding rent payments and the property is returned in good condition.

Legal Requirements

To comply with legal requirements, we will verify the following before your tenancy begins:

Proof of identity and immigration status.
Credit history and financial suitability.
Employment status or other supporting documentation, if necessary.

For tenants aged 18 and above, we are required by law to confirm their right to rent in England. This can be done through:

Manual document verification.
Identity checks using technology through an authorized service provider.
The Home Office’s online checking service.
